Freemasons Lodge, London

St Barnabas Masonic Lodge, London

Like all Freemasons’ Lodges in London each has a unique story to tell about how they started and St Barnabas Lodge is no exception.

During the troubled times of the Great War, Brother J. Scorrer of Beach Lodge No 2622 had the idea of forming a new Lodge, St Barnabas, which was named after the church  of one of the Founders the local vicar, Rev. Robert Sturges of St Barnabas, South Lambeth, London, SW8.

By courtesy of the vicar the first meeting of the Founders of the Lodge was held in St Barnabas Church House on 31st January 1916.

Today St Barnabas Lodge meets at Freemasons’ Hall in Great Queen Street, London.

Bienvenido a nuestros hermanos españoles (Welcome to our Spanish Brothers)

One thing that distinguishes St Barnabas Lodge is our unique international flavour.  Thanks to a chance meeting of a member with Spanish connections we were able to extend the hand of universal Brotherhood and create a thriving Lodge which now has many Spanish members.
